Consortium KreativEU
KreativEU (Knowledge & Creativity European University) is a collaborative initiative of 11 Higher Education Institutions across Europe, located in Portugal, Bulgaria, Czechia, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, and Turkey, aiming to establish a European University centered on the creative potential of Europe’s cultural heritage.
Through long-term cooperation, it seeks to transform the study of culture, identity, memory, and heritage, offering innovative solutions to societal and environmental challenges.
Embracing the interconnectedness of tangible and intangible heritage, KreativEU develops educational and research programs that integrate cultural and ecological perspectives, leveraging digital advancements for wider accessibility. Its ecocultural identity approach bridges cultural and life sciences, fostering collaboration on global challenges like climate mitigation and biodiversity loss.
By promoting a shared European identity while respecting local and regional diversity, KreativEU enhances innovation capacities across borders and disciplines.
Through KreativEU, we’re developing innovative ideas and solutions to tackle current and future challenges, aiming for a future where communities and the environment thrive together. Our goal is to deepen our understanding of how culture and ecology interact, and use digital tools to make cultural heritage more accessible.
One of our key ideas is ecocultural identity, which looks at how culture and nature influence each other. By bringing together cultural and scientific perspectives, we hope to find solutions to big global issues like climate change and biodiversity loss.
KreativEU is offering a top-notch European education and research system where people from different backgrounds and disciplines can work together. We believe it’s important to respect and preserve local and regional cultures while also sharing their knowledge and techniques to boost innovation across society.
